Configuring Netscape Navigator 2 or 3

NOTICE: The security certificates for Netscape versions 2 and 3 have expired. For this reason we recommend you download Netscape Communicator rather than continuing to use the older Netscape versions. If you choose to continue to use these versions, you may receive a security warning if you try to access a secure site.

1. Start Netscape Navigator.

It is not necessary to be connected online.

If the Unable to make a Connection message comes up, just click OK.

2. From the Options menu, select General Preferences.

3. Select the Appearance tab.

At On Startup Launch: check the Netscape Browser or Netscape Mail box as you prefer.

In the box under Browser Starts With:
enter http://www.dycon.com/ then click OK.

4. From the Options menu, select Mail and News Preferences.

5. Click the Servers tab.

For Outgoing and Incoming Mail Server, enter mail.dycon.com

For POP3 User Name: enter your username.

For the statement Messages are copied from the server to the local disk,
then:

Check Removed from the server.

6. Select the Identity tab, then enter Your Name: as you prefer it to be shown on your E-Mail.

Next enter Your Email: and Reply to Address: as xxxxxxxx@dycon.com, substituting your username for the xx's. Then click OK.
