Part I: Start the Internet Setup Assistant

This section is for Mac and iMac users running MacOS 8.5 and up who want to setup their internet conncection without using the software provided by Dynamic Internet.

What's the difference between the Dynamic software installer and the Internet Setup Assistant?

Basically, the software CD installs a reliable third-party dialer called FreePPP, which we recommend for older (pre-iMac/G3) Macs. Newer owners, however, may find the Internet Setup Assistant, already provided with MacOS 8.5 and higher, just as easy to configure and use as FreePPP (although it is not a requirement). Determine which MacOS you have by going under the apple at the left-hand side of the Finder and choosing "About this Computer." Your version number should appear. Decide which method of internet connection you would like to use and either install the Dynamic software CD or follow the directions for the Internet Setup Assistant below.

To Start the Internet Setup Assistant:

From the Finder choose
Apple Menu > Internet Access > Internet Setup Assistant
Start the Internet Setup Assistant
or double-click on the Internet Setup Assistant icon

This should bring you to a box which will ask you if you want to set up your computer to use the Internet.
