Web Page Guidelines

Guidelines for Posting Personal Web Pages

Please read the guidelines for posting personal home pages at Dynamic Internet.

  1. Dynamic Internet personal account subscribers are authorized to post their own web page to their online directory without charge. User pages must be the property of the subscriber. The subscriber's name and email address must be visible on the web page and must clearly identify the subscriber as the author of the page. The subscriber pages may not advertise any commercial business products or services sold for profit.

    The file name of the starting page must be named index.html or index.htm

  2. All file names and references must be in LOWER CASE only (for example, "index.html"). It is important to follow this rule because our web server is case sensitive.

  3. The last line of the Body of the index.html page must include a link back to the Dynamic Internet Home Page. This should appear by itself on the last line. The HTML code to use is:

    <A HREF="homepage.dycon.com/">< >Return to Dynamic Internet Online Directory</a>

  4. All files will be placed in the customer's directory on our server. Sub directories will not be used.

  5. All references to secondary files in your directory must use relative links. (For example: use "myresume.html" instead of "http://homepage.dycon.com/username/myresume.html")

  6. All HTML pages should be saved in standard text (ASCII) format -- but with an .html file extension. Create your HTML pages in Notepad or with HTML editing software which automatically saves your work in text format.

  7. Personal web page files must be less than or equal to 1.5 MG for Value Unlimited customers or up to 10MG for Premium Service customers including both text and graphics.

  8. Customer's pages hosted by Dynamic may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage or publishing of any information, data or material in violation of local and international laws is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to infringement of copyright, trademark, patent or proprietary rights;

  9. Community standards for objectionable content are difficult to define. Customer's pages hosted by Dynamic will not be used for any purposes related to pirated software, computer viruses, hacking, warez, pornography, adult sites, gambling, liquor and any harmful, unethical, abusive, harassing and illegal materials and activities.

  10. Dynamic will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of these guidelines and will give customers 24 hours notice to rectify the violation. However, Dynamic reserves the rights for immediate suspension of service without prior notice upon an indication of violation of these guidelines
